I met a man at WinHEC a couple of weeks ago and we began chatting about Tablet PCs. I am a self proclaimed Tablet PC evangelist and we were discussing Tablets and mobile computing. After we'd talked for a while he asked if I blogged on my thoughts on mobile computing and how passionate I am about pen computing. I had to say no and he told me I should.
Here I am.
I thought about the idea so much that I knew I needed to follow up on it and I started my first blog. I hope to share my joys and frustrations with mobile computing as well as my thoughts as a frequent world wide traveler.
So who am I? I work in high tech, traveling the world for technology events and trade shows As such, I am highly mobile and highly demanding. I go through an average of 2 laptops per year, plus Blackberries, phones, and other gadgets. If it plugs in and has a processor, I probably either have it or want it. :-) One of my loves is Tablet PCs. I've been a 100% Tablet user for about 3.5 years now - basically since they came out. I will wax poetic about my Motion Computing LS800 and how easy it is to use and how portable. It's the 4th Tablet I've had and definitely my favorite so far.
One peculiarity you may see in my blog because of my Tablet. I will handwrite all of my entries, not type, the same way I write all of my emails, so you may see some interesting handwriting conversions here and there. I have repetitive stress injuries that limit my typing which is one way I got into Tablets.
I certainly hope people will not only read this blog but also participate. Ask me questions! I've been in mobile professionally for a few years and as an enthusiast for about 15 years. Remember the HP 95LX? It hooked me and I've been chasing the mobile dream ever since.
